Component Testing
Visual Inspection
Our incoming goods inspections are carried out in accordance with datasheet specifications and ISO-certified requirements. We assess not only the general external condition of the components, but also any microscopically detectable non-conformities on the surface, as well as physical properties such as dimensions and construction. This gives us a reliable and qualified assessment of the condition of the delivered goods.
Upon request, this inspection can be carried out by one of our certified partner test houses for electronic components, including photo documentation and a test certificate.
Functional Test / Electrical Test
Verifying that all parameters and specifications conform to the component datasheet is a key requirement for a flawless production process. Potential sources of error are identified, ensuring the full functional integrity of the goods. You will receive a clear and comprehensive test report, which is sent to you at the time of shipment and additionally archived digitally on our end.
X-Ray Inspection
Upon customer request or when required, components are subjected to an X-ray inspection procedure. Components are examined against a reference sample or datasheet specifications to verify the authenticity of their internal structure.
Surface Test
To rule out any post-processing of original goods, a chemical surface test is carried out in our quality department, which excludes any surface treatment of the component. The component is not damaged during this test.
In addition, a destructive surface test can be performed by our certified partner for originality testing. The surface is treated using a specialized chemical process at high temperatures and documented in a test report.
Chemical Decapsulation
We also offer chemical decapsulation of components. The component is chemically treated and opened, and its internal structure is compared against the original datasheet or a reference sample. You will receive a report of this destructive test with clear photographic evidence.
Solderability Test
Particularly with older components, objectively determining solderability can be a challenge. To address this, a destructive solderability test is performed. Using a fully automated solderability process, the exact wetting forces of each individual pin are measured and documented for you.
Tape & Reel Service
Through our partner company, we are happy to offer fast tape & reel services whenever our supplier can only deliver the requested components on trays or sticks on short notice. Taping can be done in accordance with DIN standards or according to your individual requirements. We also offer repackaging of all kinds.
Programming Service
Through certified partners, eCOUNT Electronic offers its customers the programming of electronic components as well as custom assembly and marking. Services include:
Programming of microcontrollers, flash memory, EEPROMs, EPROMs, GALs, PALs, FPGAs, EPLDs, OTPs, etc.
Laser marking, labeling, and color dot marking
Value-Added Services
Through German partner companies, eCOUNT Electronic also offers value-added services with certification to make aged or stored components usable again for our customers. Key services include:
– Re-tinning of heavily oxidized contacts
– Re-gold plating of contact surfaces
– BGA re-balling
– Straightening of leads
– Re-alloying of leaded components to RoHS compliance
Component Drying
If required, moisture-sensitive components are baked in our drying oven in accordance with JEDEC standards and subsequently sealed in ESD packaging in compliance with MSL requirements.
